Grade Descriptions for Furs and Leathers

These items are all Real antler. Whole antlers are described as "Naturally Shed" or "Cutoffs"- Please see our Grade Descriptions for Hides and Furs for a more detailed description of what these terms and the others we use to describe our items mean. Some of these items are One-of-a-Kind and are sold on a first come first served basis. What you see is what you get. All items are subject to prior sale- we try to update daily but this is not always possible. Please refer to PLTL#**** when ordering these items. Please refer to the description that follows each item for more information about that item.

Antler Buttons-

Hand Cut, From deer antler. Each one is unique. Sold Individually. Assorted Grades from Hard white to Hard brown.  If your project requires all one grade, please contact us. Custom orders are always welcome.

Regular Cut- Cut about as thick as box cardboard- 1/8" to 1/4", great for working applications like garments, bags, pouches, decorations, etc.

Thin Cut- Cut about as thick as shoebox cardboard- Less than 1/8" thick, decorative use only, Not for load or working applications. Great for scrap booking as they will easily fit between pages. Shown with ballpoint pen for refrence.

Slices- Regular cut- Undrilled button Blanks. Drill your own or carve them.

Slabs- Thick Cut- 3/8" to 1/2" thick- Undrilled.

Assorted sizes- These are assorted as they are cut and may include any/all of the sizes listed below. No color/size choice.

XS- Extra Small Buttons- These are smaller than a dime. Can be as small as a pencil in diameter. Great for miniature work or scrap booking

S-  Small Buttons- These are about the size of a Dime.

GN- Gnarly Assorted Buttons- Assorted sizes and Grades. These are taken from the first part of the antler and will have a bumpy and uneven texture to the rim. S to XL in size assorted.

Slices- GN- 40¢ Each

Slabs- GN- 80¢ Each

XL-  Extra Large Points- These are  over 6" in lenght and can be up to 12" long. Diameters vary. XL- $3.50 Each

BROW-  Brow Points- These are the first tine on a set of antlers and have been selected for their rough textures and heavy "beading". Lengths and Diameters vary. BROW- $2.50 Each

ELK-  Elk Antler Points- These are Assorted sizes from 4" to 20" in length with diameters varying from 3/4" to 2"+,

By the POUND- $18 per pound, Usually 3 to 7 points per pound depending on size

By the PIECE- $6.50 each for Randomly assorted sizes and grades.

We will even cut to order to your specifications. Need a Large quantity, Like 1000 buttons? We welcome large orders and will discount large quantity orders and most large orders ship in two business days!

Assorted Horn Caps

Horn caps (outer shell) from goats, sheep and cattle. Assorted grades, shapes and colors. Singles only. Leatherman Shown for size refrence (approx. 6 inches long).

Longhorn Steer Horn Caps- Each has been scraped and buffed to a workable surface that will need some more work before it is perfect. The hard stuff is done though. They are arranged from smallest to largest. Cleaned and Smell free.  Measurements are taken from the tip to the base in a straight line, NOT along the curve.
