Deer Antler Buttons and Slices

Please see our Grade Descriptions for a more detailed description of what the terms we use to describe our antler products and others mean. Some of these items are One-of-a-Kind and are sold on a first come first served basis. What you see is what you get. All items are subject to prior sale- we try to update daily but this is not always possible. Please refer to PLTL#**** when ordering these items. Please refer to the description that follows each item for more information about that item.

 

 

We can custom cut all of our antler products to your exact specifications. We've cut antler for hundreds unique of custom projects and will work with you to find the species and pieces that will work best for you.

Regular Cut Buttons- Cut about as thick as regular box cardboard- 1/8" to 1/4"- great for working applications like garments, bags, pouches, decorations, etc..

Assorted sizes- These are randomly pulled from our bin and may include any of the sizes we offer in our standard, regular cut buttons.   30¢ Each

XS- Extra Small - These are smaller than a dime and can be as small as a slice of a #2 pencil. Great for miniatures, dolls and crafts. 60¢ Each

S- Small - About the size of a dime. 30¢ Each

M- Medium- Approx the size of a Nickel. 30¢ Each

L- Large- Approx the size of a quarter. 40¢ Each

XL- Extra Large- Approx the size of a Sacagawea Dollar coin to a half Dollar- many are oblong. $1.35 each

 

Thin Cut Buttons- Cut about as thick as shoebox cardboard- 1/16" to 1/8"- Decorative use only. Not for load or working applications. Great for scrap-booking and paper crafts as they fit between the pages nicely.  Sizes are the same as for our Regular Cut Buttons.

Gnarley Buttons and Slices- Just like our buttons above, But they are selected for their rough outer textures.Just like our buttons above, But they are selected for their rough outer textures..  Shown Undrilled. Can be drilled with one, two or three holes.

 Slices- Undrilled Button Blanks/ Antler slices.  Great for drilling your own custom hole patterns for buttons. Or use them for scrimshaw/fretwork, carving/engraving, backing metal components in jewelry or painting on, etc.

Designer Slices-  Extra large slices cut specifically for artists, jewelers and crafters. These large and often unusual shaped slices are very unique and great for a unique look in your  scrimshaw/fretwork, carving/engraving, backing metal components in jewelry or painting on, etc. Thicknesses vary from 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch thick on all sizes.

Assorted sizes- These are randomly pulled from our bin and may include any of the sizes we offer in our Designer Slices.   90¢ Each

S-  Small -   Less than 1" Long-Great for smaller jewelry applications like bracelets and earrings. 60¢ Each

M- Medium-  1" to 2.5" long- 95¢ Each

L- Large-  2.5"   to 6" long-  assorted.   $1.50 Each

End Cut Slices- cut off square on one end for setting in silver or similar use- mixed S-M-L  Sizes, our choice only.-   $1.10 Each
 

Additional Services

For any of our antler buttons and slices we offer the following services:

Coloring:  We can Stain our antlers a dark Coffee color.   Buttons will not be Sealed. Do not use Dyed Buttons on projects or garments that will be hand or machine washed.  Add 20¢ to the cost of each button.


Heavy Duty Buttons-
 

Rosette Buttons-These very unique XL buttons come in two styles:  cut on both sides or cut on one side and a natural shed antler base on the other. Thicknesses will vary from 1/4" to almost a 1/2" depending on the texture of the burr. Available drilled with one, two or three holes. Made from the decorative burr of whitetail and mule deer antler. Most are hard brown. Great for accent buttons or BIG applications like bags or a huge mountain man fur coat.  These range in size from 1" to almost 2.5" dia.  If you have a custom request please contact us.

Toggle Buttons

 Made from a small antler point approx 1.5" to 2" long and Less than 1/2" on the larger end.  A pair of holes are drilled in the middle with a slot cut for recessing the thread or sinew.
